Tempest Tossed

Tho I be tempest tossed by storms I can't begin to perceive or make way for;
Tho I be eroded by waves of trauma, crashing in on me, washing away what I cherish as my eyes darken
Tho the winds of confusion blow through my heart and soul, driving the sound of direction from my ears;
Still I will wait.
Still I will hope against all hope.
Still I will not yield to the urge to escape to places that are not a part of my journey
In the aftermath, I see the beauty of my cleansing, the sun shining on the now tranquil shores of my soul
In the aftermath I see the deposited treasures my faith in something unseen, has brought to the sands of my life
In the aftermath I hear the footprints of someone walking through my very life
When I was certain I was alone. I was not. for your hand guided me.
When storms begin to brew on my horizon, O God, I will remember your willingness to be my anchor
When I am uncertain of your direction, I will stop and simply wait, taking tome to bask in the presence of your love shining on my life.
